My New Book: A TOUR OF THE HEART

Last year around this time, I celebrated a milestone birthday. I was grateful that I was feeling healthy and well, the most fit I’d been in ages and ten pounds thinner (a rarity for me since my weight never fluctuates). Here I am a year later having perhaps gained back five of those pounds—I don’t really know since I stopped weighing myself (a good sign of maturity). And now I’m two days away from another b-day with something far more significant to celebrate—a new book!

Twelve years. Yes, twelve years. I can’t believe it myself. It was twelve years ago that I began to plan a trip that would forever change my life. I actually took that trip in the fall of 2000. We all have transformative events and travels in our lives. I just happen to take a lot of notes on mine. “A Tour of the Heart:  A Seductive Cycling Trip Through France” is the fruit of all that note taking and so much more.” Click here to see a preview and download excerpts. It is a pleasure to find your emails in my in-box. Your latest was especially fulfilling as I learned about & read excerpts from your forthcoming book. Congratulations!

I found your excerpts compelling: I learned a great deal, your pace seemed to always pleasantly lean forward & I particularly enjoyed the personal reflections you share on variety of matters. It shows that you put an abundance of thought into your story, which makes for a stimulating read. Your cover artwork seemed so well done too — where I could not help but notice the Lady posed as properly riding side-saddle.

And your fondness for France is infectious: How might I can obtain a copy of A Tour of the Heart?

David and I received the copies of “Tour of the Heart”. I have passed along a copy to Lynne in Cotuit and she was pleased. We hope this most recent “memoir” brings you huge success! Maybe we will be seeing you on “The View” with the gals! :)
I was surprised to see the comments from Frank Farrell! I’m so sorry to have missed him as I was on Nantucket for 4 days plus this summer. Hi Frank! Will let you know what I think when I have the time to sit down with your book. The artwork is beautiful and I assume the “Lady” sitting side saddle must speak to “girly girl” persona! :) ) Congrats! Your not so girly girl sister-in law Geri! oxox
